Great beach stop while on road trip. Relaxing except for the guys who ignored the rules about loud speakers. But they were nice enough to turn down their music to a low level anytime I took a backwards glance. Not very many people here. Very nice little beach.

We were looking for a beach close to the Woodlands for the day. It was small , you only had about 15-20 feet to go out in the ocean there. There was no seaweed at all there. We saw a lot of mothers with their children there in the morning. We stayed about 6 hours there. We were just women... More

Awesome beach and play ground. Excellent fishing pier run by Linda's bait Shop on premises. Really nice boat ramp. Been going there all my life.

With the recent infrastructure upgrades provided by taxpayers, this is a great bay front beach park. Weekends can be crowded during warmer periods. Festival times offer limited parking. Nice day trip from Houston though.

Sylvan Beach Park has a nice area for flying kites, walking on the beach, a pier for fishing, a playground for the kids, restrooms and plenty of benches to sit and watch the relaxing waves.

We went here to take a walk to get out of our hotel and not spend money down at Kemah. There were families fishing on the pier and hanging out on the beach. The water is really murky , there are the oil barges and refineries right off the coast...it just seemed sad.

We went primarily for the pier fishing. It was a nice park but limited beach. Great park for families and gatherings with lots to do. On-site bait house where you must pay to use the pier.

Large area. Bathrooms with space to change clothes. A ton of parking. I like that there is a rope to show children not to swim out too far. Wish it was cleaned up.... We saw garbage and cigarettes all over :(

Love coming to enjoy the sun here. Swing sets are nice for little ones. The beach is small but perfect.
