Nice park with a fishing pond with picnic tables. The running trail in 3/4 mile, part small gravel, part dirt, so a nice surface. This is a pleasant park, very family oriented, and very safe to run, walk or bike. There is also a putt...More

Spacious, though it could be a little larger for the amount of people that come through, especially on the weekends and during the summer. But we always enjoy our time here. We have made use of the pool (which has sporadic hours due to classes),...More

Very nice, quiet park. The playground is nice but equipment get very hot midday. The pond and walking trail is perfect for a shady afternoon or morning walk. We have always loved this park, tucked away in Old Katy.

Love this place. Lots of cool things to do within a short walk of MJP Park. Lots of shade make it a better place to spend during the hot months of the summer (although it still gets pretty hot here in July/August).

Very popular park. Laid out nicely. Fishing but only saw 3 fish brought in about 4 hours. Bathroom clean but bring your own soap. Lots of kids on bikes in the walking trail.

Well I have to say I'm very disappointed in Mary Jo Katy Peckham Park pool, or better yet the lifeguards! Yesterday I was swimming my usual laps a little bit slowly and I almost get plowed into by the lifeguard and the kid he was racing!! I swim in the deep part of the pool and I saw them line up to dive in but I never thought they would try to run over me!!! I glared at the lifeguards in the water and on the deck, not that did any good!!! The cherry on the cake was when all of them (10) people started swimming right at me, I jumped out of the pool and very angrily left. And do you know what the lifeguard that almost ran me over said....you have a nice day and then chuckled!!! What can I do about this??
