Really interesting museum. Lots of large vehicles to look over. Lady in charge was lovely and gave us a free mug for drinking 'tea'.

Only got 1/2 hour to look around. This museum had much equipment and information on the Katy area from around 1900. Showed how rice was the king crop. Some on the discovery of gas which provided the power. Again, only had 1/2 hour. Wish I had two hours. Wouldn't make a special trip just for this location, but should be... More

I wasn't expecting much, but this museum was large and had an interesting view of Katy history. The equipment was actually pretty nice and the folks were pretty friendly. A pleasant way to spend an hour or two.

Wonderful museum with plenty to see. The building and items were displayed with care and the entire area was spotless. Attached are early buildings and a war museum which was closed during our visit. A nice way to spend an hour especially if your interest is agriculture i.e. rice farming and harvest.

An excellent collection of tractors, farm implements, oilfield gear and everyday life items, nicely displayed in a big and FREE museum. Easily worth an hour or so for anyone interested in the history of the Katy, Texas area. Lots of info on rice farming and life in early 1900's Texas.

Lots of local history donated by people who live in Katy. Local guides can tell you more about anything in the museum. Fascinating place.

Alamo is a wonderful reminder of the local flavor of the theatres of old, but updated with a bar and greaet food. The bar features a wide selections of draft beers, and some interesting and unique appitizers. Prices are reasonable and the latest films are always listed. There are some more unique specialty films scheduled now and then for late... More

Local history can sometimes be fascinating. You never know what tidbits of information exist about small cities until you investigate for yourself and one place where you can do exactly that is the Katy Heritage Museum, a museum dedicated to the history of Katy, Texas, a west Houston suburb. I visited the Katy Heritage Museum for the first time on... More
