My dad has one rule. He must know where his family is and what they are doing. You can't be part of our family if you are not on life360. Ask my kids what's our only family rule? If they aren't being smart-alecky they will reply "we don't litter". We have always been state park holders and we instilled this... More

We visited with our kids for a camping trip. RV camp sites were nice (back in...we don't like pull through). Most were spacious. Trails were clear but not at all marked. Don't go off trail...the ticks were numerous and plentiful. They found me when I went off trail for a geocache and they found our dog at our campsite when... More

Fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking, enjoying nature. For larger RV's they have eight 50 amp, water, sewer, pull-thru sites. Good boat ramp. Lots of places to visit in the area.

Caddo lake is something everyone should see. The lake is full of old (400-800 years old) Cypress trees with Spanish moss hanging down. Takes your breath away. Definitely take a boat tour of the lake and eat lunch at the marine cafe in Uncertain. This is our favorite park so far.

My wife and I visited Caddo Lake state park on Nov.15-16,2016. A 2-3 hr. drive east of Dallas. Very rustic, tranquil, peaceful, and natural. Hiking trails, canoe rentals, fishing, camping , and relaxing. Remote with unique and a swamp setting/ scenery. No cell phone service, no food, concessions, or crowds. We were disappointed in our cabin. No refrigerator, stove, t.v.... More

Our favorite spot for camping or staying in the cabins. Been coming here for years and loving every trip. Caddo Lake is a unique place in Texas, more like the Deep South than the Texas most people picture from movies and TV.

We had a great time walking around the park. The swamp feel is something that you just don't see everyday where we live. The park is well maintained and pretty.

Just returned from a wonderful camping weekend at this State Park. We camped in an RV in the Woodpecker Hollow Loop. The sites were very nice and clean and the hiking was awesome. Lots to do in this part of East Texas. We will be return visitors to this park.

The park is beautiful, staff friendly and very passionate but the canoeing was above and beyond! Being on the lake at sunset took my breathe away, I took numerous pictures and not one was a bad shot. Crossed off my bucket list but will be coming back again and again.

Fantastic place. The bald cypress are gorgeous. This is a hidden Texas gem; everyone should visit. Bring a canoe or boat, or rent one and get out on the water. Drive over to Uncertain (4 miles) and put in at Shady Glade or Johnson's and take some of the well marked paddle trails into the swamp. What a great outing!... More
