I went there during the Big Sky Festival. I was looking forward to it but was a little disappointed actually. You can only visit the garden, not allowed to enter the building. The garden, however, is similar to the Sydney Government House at the Royal...More

I have to admit that I went here because its where the 80's mini-series Return to Eden was filmed, but came away with so much more. A real beginning sense of what Australia's history is about and a real picture of the remote expanse of...More

Well worth the drive to Jimbour to visit the restored Historical Station; spent more than a couple of hours wandering around taking photo's and learning a bit of local history.

We have visited several times, and this time we enjoyed the beautiful jacaranda avenue, as they were all flowering. Wonderful views over the countryside, and an insight into how our pioneers lived and worked

After getting information about Jimbour at the Dalby Tourist Centre we decided to take a detour and visit this property. It is only 20 minutes from Dalby. Wow! So glad we did. The house is magnificent but there is no entry into it. A meagre...More

Spent over an hour strolling around the lovely grounds and looking at all the plaques denoting the history and events of the home. Lovely example of how old style British Aristocracy and Australian Squat-o-cracy lived in the early days. Particularly interested to read that the...More

Not sure on free camp, but the showgrounds in Jandowae is where we camped, and it was very cheap. In fact, we had the entire grounds to ourselves for only $15, including hot showers. I think it was 20-30 mins away.
