The burial site is located in north Huntsville in the Oakwood Cemetery. Cemetery is located at Avenue I and 9th Street. This is a historical cemetery were you will find the Graves of several interesting people.

Sam Houston's grave is easily accessed from the nearby curb, it is free and only takes a few minutes to view. Several historical markers provide some background and it is worth seeing and respecting.
