Strongly suggest this stop. It provides a history from various eras of military engagement. It reminds one again of the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform.

A nice local tribute to freedom fighters starting with the Revolutionary War until today. Many of the families contributed memorabilia of the service person. We were pleasantly surprised at how comprehensive it was.

A great rainy day activity, one could easily spend hours here if so inclined. I have never seen a museum that literally displays every branch of service and every war so thoroughly. A small fee of $6.00 (or $5.00 for Veterans) is all that is required. A must-see if you are in the area. And, as a bonus, the Texas... More

Kids and Adults will be entertained here both in and outside of this museum which focuses a lot on the actual people who have served. There's a tank, helicopters and more on the outside too!

Space is provided for the preservation of artifacts, history of past wars and military items. It honors all who have served. Had a very nice tour with one of the volunteers who was able to point out a lot of interesting facts that we would of missed if we had toured on our own. Seniors admission was $5.00 a small... More

Near "The Prison Museum" how can you pass up the F-16 fighter, M-60 Tank etc on display outside !! Inside great displays but what really makes it great are the veterans who volunteer at the museum with great stories of many events, equipment, shown in museum based on first hand accounts! Our's pointed out places and ships he served on... More

Very impressive for a museum in a small town. Amazing what the Vets have been able to accumulate from all branches of the military. Takes you from the Revolutionary war to present day conflicts. Plan to spend an hour or two to take it all in.
