My husband and I took our kids to the Downtown Aquarium Restaurant and decided to visit the Aquarium proper afterwards. My kids loved patting the stingrays, and when we ducked out to go to the toilet, the sour puss staff member manning the gate wouldn't let us re-enter (despite the area being absolutely deserted). We thought that was a bit... More

We came to the Houston Aquarium on the Sunday of Thanksgiving and had a nice time. While I agree it is a small aquarium, it's very nice and the perfect size if you want to do something that will take about only an hour to walk through. The tanks are interesting shapes and the fish are beautiful. That being said,... More

Our family went to the Downtown Aquarium no one really expecting much and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a 3 year old with us, who thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium. And 4 adults of various ages, all of whom decided the aquarium wasn't bad. Everyone enjoyed the aquarium with the exception of the white Tiger exhibit. Some felt sorry for... More

Great for kids, lots of activities. Petting stingrays is awesome! Parking is cash only but they have an ATM.

It is a bit highly priced. I visited as I had a Houston pass which allowed me to choose among three attractions. It is a small facility with a good number of aquatic species. Stingray feeding is a good experience, kids may enjoy it. Also, the white tigers are really good to sit and watch for few minutes. The ambience... More

I had read the reviews so went to the aquarium with low expectations. Patting the Rays was a really cool experience, unfortunately it went downhill from there. The train tour only lasts for 10 minutes and they have a fake shark experience near the end which did not work, the staff seem completely uninterested. My son wanted to pat the... More

My son and I have a goal to see all the aquariums in the U.S. at some point in our lifetime. We've been to about 7 locations, and this is by far the smallest aquarium we have been to. I was pretty surprised when we got to the Gift Shop and thought that couldn't be the end. But it was.... More

We were excited to take our kids but when we got there, we realized that it was not worth of money- admission fee is pretty pricy for what they have. Not much to see, kind of plain and boring.

Its a nice place to spend an afternoon with kids, especially if they love marine life. The aquarium is a bit smaller than most I visited, but adequately price. My only complain you have to pay yet another fee per person to go on a small train to see some larger marine animals, such as sharks. I don't regret going,... More

If you like Indiana Jones, this is the place to go. This indoors aquarium is amazing for family. They have tigers, big snakes, and many other exotic fish. The staff is great. I give this place an A+.
