We arrived in Houston a little early and had some time to kill. Checked the GPS and saw that this museum was on the way to our destination. Since I have been reading a lot about the British Navy recently I wanted to see what...More

My son and I visited this place and he loved it. He's big into boats and the Titanic at the moment so this was right up his alley. It looks small from the outside but don't let that discourage you, it is worth it. The...More

A great collection of ship models of all kinds and lovely docents but poorly displayed in an old house. Apparently they are raising money to build a brand new museum. Hope that happens because there are better museums in Houston to visit than this one.

The museum came alive thanks to the tour given to us by Milt Rose. His commentary brought shipping around the world to life. It was easy to understand how one event led into another. I was also amazed and how a few people brought shipping...More

Very interesting place to get to know the different types of ships, commercial, war or pleasure. Great hosts and they offer a different theme lecture every month!
