We had a great time in the Museums. Saw a wonderful exhibit of mordern art as well as some classic fine art. Best part was that there were no crowds like in NY at the Met yet the artwork was comparable in collection of artists.

We live in the Museum District of Houston and have spent time in many of the museums here, including the Museum of Fine Arts, the Contemporary Arts Museum, the Holocaust Museum, the Children's Museum, the Museum of Natural Science, and many more. Any visitor to our city MUST be sure to take time to visit the Museum District. Regardless of... More

So much to see and do here. Every kind of exhibit you could think of and all air conditioned. You can spend a week here and not see it all. A great way to taste the world. Old and new. Put your walking shoes on and give it a try.

This area is a must if you plan to visit Houston. There are museums for everyone. My grandson loves the Children's Museum as well as the Museum of Natural History. Actually I enjoyed them myself. There are plenty of sights to see, great places to eat, and ample parking.

This museum area makes it convenient too see everything at once as opposed to having to go to separate areas costing you more travel time and more money. This museum district is also surrounded by some beautiful historical parks. Many of the museums are free on Thursday. You can easily catch the metro line to the museum district from downtown.

Near Rice University and the Texas Medical Center, this is one of the most beautiful parts of Houston. There are several museums within walking distance of each other - lots to offer for everyone with the variety. Places to eat, get a drink, see amazing art, enjoy great culture.
