We were pleasantly surprised with this visit! I wasn’t sure what to expect based on the reviews (learning now some people just have nothing to do, but complain); however, we had a great time. Sure it’s smaller and not the most extravagant one we’ve been to (it’s located in a mall so this should be expected), but the exhibits were great and my kids loved them from age 2-15. If your kids bore easily, I see how some might react poorly to this visit. If your children and yourself are really interested in aquatic life, you will love this place! It was a little taste of God’s glorious creations we rarely get to see!

This in not Worth the money to go. $72 for 2 adults and a teen. It was not well managed to keep crowds flowing. Everything looked dingy. Will not recommend going rather go to the rainforest cafe in San Antonio. Prettier tanks and surroundings and a decent meal for the same price.

Tiny place in a mall, definitely not worth the price or drive out to see unless you plan on doing some shopping too. If you read every plaque in here and spend a minute to minute and half at each aquarium you might make it last 45mins.....but that is stretching it. The map makes the place look huge, but it is not. Was definitely disappointed. Been to other Sea Life's and they were all better than this one. Smallest 360 tunnel ever, smallest shark tank ever. I'd have to recommend anyone PASS on this.

Hi and thank you for your comments about our aquarium.
We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience. Usually, a visit take at least an hour to an hour and a half to complete.
We are glad to hear you have visited our sister aquariums, but are disappointed you didn't enjoy ours as much as the others.
Our ocean tank, which is where most of our sharks are, is over 165,000 gallons, with over 220,000 gallons in the whole aquarium. We have a wide array of species, two stories of different tanks and themed rooms and over 15 species of sharks. We are always building upon the aquarium and hope you can come back to see our new additions next year.

Visited with two teenagers who LOVED the experience. To those who say they went through in an hour or less and that there is "not much to see", please take the opportunity to stop and really look. We followed the recommendations of waiting until later in the day on a Sunday.....we took our time and we took the behind -the-scenes tour. As with everything in life, there are things to be found if you only take the time to look. We asked lots of questions and were educated by very knowledgeable docents and guides. In an attraction like this, you cannot expect to get the full benefit without taking your time and asking questions. We learned so much and we know there is more to learn, so we will be returning with the girls and their friends. We do wish the cost were cheaper, but after you take the behind-the-scenes tour, you will know why it costs so much to run the place. They are part of a world-wide effort to save injured marine animals. Once that is explained, the purpose of the facility becomes clear.
It should not be compared to the larger, more showy aquariums because that is not what it is....what it is, in its own right, is a very cleverly designed attraction that doubles as a teaching tool for the public and safe haven for injured or displaced marine animals. The same people who find this boring are the same people who don't know what to do in a library. There is a ton of information at Sea Life. Just take your time, sit and watch just one species for more than just a few miinutes and you will be amazed at what you can learn. It is clean and well staffed with incredibly knowledgeable assistants. Mom is wheelchair bound and it was no problem at all.

The Sea Life was over priced for what it had to offer. You pay the same high rate for children as you do for adults. The exhibit was not as large as I had expected and only takes about thirty minutes to walk through it. In my opinion it was over priced for what it had to offer.

The sea life was fun, but DO NOT GET DUPED. LEGOland WILL NOT allow you in without a child. We bought 2 combo adult tickets and were literally told we could not enter legoland even with a paid ticket in hand. I am now attempting to contact trip advisor to get half my tickets refunded, since the combo ticket costs twice as much as just the aquarium one.

I give this a low rating due to the price for what you get. I actually had a $5 off per person. It was very small and took us about 30 minutes to walk through it. Not a whole lot of room if they are busy so prepare to wait in a long line then walk through it within 30 minutes. I just expected a little bit more.

Hi and thank you for taking the time to leave us our feedback about your visit to SEA LIFE. We hate to hear your visit only took you about 30 minutes, as our average visit time is about 75 minutes. There are many educational aspects in the aquarium, as well as talks and feeds led by our aquarist team, that we hope you were able to see.
We hope to see you again soon!

Good aquarium and surprised that something that nice was in the mall. Bought tickets online and if you go after 5pm they are half price. That leaves plenty of time to see everything. Kids are 15, 13, and 9 and we all enjoyed it. It is not terribly large and with us taking our time were there a little over and hour. Great exhibits and clean and interesting. Good attraction but only go if you can find a deal as it is smaller and full price is a little high for what you get.

Thank you for taking the time to write a positive review for our Aquarium.
Because we are an aquarium in a mall, we often get underestimated in regards to size and the quality of our tanks and sea creatures. So, we appreciate you taking note that you were pleasantly surprised.
We hope to see you again soon!

Is it feasible to take a scooter in for a handicap person?
Written 17 November 2019
You can always call and ask them, for us it was very crowded and a person on a scooter might have trouble seeing with the crowds. They might can suggest a time when they are the least crowded

I really don’t know. I didn’t know they had a behind the scenes tour.

About how long does it take to see everything? Just wondering how long I should plane to be there.
Written 13 July 2018
Depending on how quickly you view some of the venues, I'd allow at least a good hour to take it all in, possibly longer. They've added exhibits since was last there so might be even more to enjoy.

Do we have to stick to our 10am time or can we move to a different time?
Written 26 May 2018
You can pick your time. We just chose to go at 10. We wanted to get back to our hotel so my grandson, Tristan could swim before the pool closed. Hope this helps.

Are Toddler Tuesdays offered anytime besides February?
Written 28 February 2018
Sorry for the late response, but this was only for a limited time. It might come back again - just check their site! Also, if you eat at Rainforest Café, you can get free child tickets with the kid's meal (call ahead to verify).

Going on a field trip there & wondering if small carrying coolers are allowed inside.
Written 7 May 2016
There were lots of strollers loaded with all sorts of things, so I would think so. However that being said, I believe there were signs saying no food or drinks, so you should be able to take your cooler thru (I'm assuming with lunches and stuff?) you just won't be able to take anything out of the cooler while inside.
