Just like most public rec places, you will need to arrive early to stake out a good spot but its worth it. The sandy beach area with the roped off swimming area is great for kiddos and when they get tired of that you can go through a little stroll in the trees or they can play at the nearby park. Be weary though, lots of rocks and twigs. Little toes without water shoes or firm sandals will get poked and pricked! If you are in town or live nearby check it out one nice summer day. I guarantee the kids will sleep hard at the end of the day!

Lynn Creek Park is a great place for a family BBQ/fun in the sun/lake day. If you plan on bbqing on Sat or Sun then be sure to get there early because the tables go quick. Or you can bring your own! There is a sandy beach area with a roped off swimming area. There is also a large playground area that is great for the little one.

The scenery is open and their is plenty of seating, picnic tables, grills and sand volleyball. Avoid weekends unless you like a lot of cars and large crowds.

The worst place I have been in Texas. You can tell no one is taking care of it, trash everywhere you go and infrastructure very poor. Not sure how they can still be in business with such a bad place. Strongly do not recommend getting in.

Disappointing! $15 to get in and there is trash everywhere. Several 55 barrel drums (probably trash cans at one time) are rusting in the waters edge. The water edge wooder area were covered in trash. Not sure what the money is going to, not maintenance.

This park is a great place to take your children to splash in the lake and have access to a wonderful playground. The only thing I would advise against is weekends in the summer. I can get EXTREMELY crowded and become difficult for you to keep up with your children. I recommend going early in the day, if you can, as the heat is not too bad and it is not very crowded.

My Friend rented the boat for about 3 hours and we were having a good time up and till we caught in a rain storm! we were warned about the rain storm right in the middle of it! our items such as food, drinks, clothes and chips starting flying all around the place! and they had the nerve to charge my friend an additional $900 because she "trashed" the boat. This is BS! since when does a storm leave everything nice and neat? I told her to call and dispute these charges!

This is a great Day park to go to, Admission is free if you can prove your a grand prairie resident, but day pass is by the car not the headcount so its not too bad, There is no camping here so if you intend to camp go to loyd park down the way rather than waste money getting the same thing in both places.

What I nice setting - right on the lake - great park for families. Nice beach area with marked off swimming, lots and lots of picnic tables in the trees and along the lake - some right on the water. Fishing in coves with tables and grills. Huge playground with bathrooms nearby. Can be crowded on weekends but usually not at all during the week. Free to Grand Prairie residents and small charge per carload for non residents.
