This park is huge with actual dinosaur footprints! We were there for a day. They have lot of hiking trails for beginners/mid level adventurers! Easily a days hike. We also did stargazing. They had couple of guys with huge telescope(for stargazing event at night on selected days) They shows us Saturn, milky way and lots of other stars via their... More

Lots of stuff about dinosaurs but also trails and fossil searches. You cannot remove fossils, but fun looking for them. Lots of camping slots but no pull-throughs with full hook-ups. The river is usually low enough that kids can have a bit of freedom to roam, but just deep enough to splash around a bit. Really pretty area in the... More

I lived 2 hours from this place for 25 years and didn't know about it. I am 54 years old now but felt like a kid again walking in the river looking at and putting my foot in the dinosaurs foot print left 105 million years ago. Bring your swim gear to swim in the blue hole, a swimming hole.... More

There was a lot of climbing up and down paths & Rocks to be able to see the dinosaur tracks, Would recommend the tour as you have a guild to help point them out, but I believe its a 7 mile hike, so come prepared.

It's amazing to see actual dinosaur tracks in rock. The climb down to the river bottom and back up is a challenge but worth it.

We Texas residents are oh so very lucky to have Dinosaur Valley State Park in our very own state. If you're considering the road trip but aren't sure if it's worth the drive - trust me - JUST GO! I mean, it's not every day you get to see something that millions of years old, out in it's habitat, AND... More

We had a great experience! We just went for a few hours to search for Dinosaur tracks and play in the river. The hiking can be challenging. Our 7 and 4 year old could manage with our help and they enjoyed the challenge! Please wear good shoes. The hiking trials are fairly covered by a tree canopy which was nice.... More

My wife and I visited this park on a beautiful day and was able to see dinosaur tracks (with the help of a game and fish person) at two sites. We were in the area and it was well worth seeing. The park has many trails to explore but we did not take advantage of the other opportunities presented there.... More

What a great place to camp, very quiet and lots of shade. My husband enjoyed the biking while I enjoyed relaxing. Looking at the dinosaur foot prints was awesome.
