If you love nature, the outdoors, or dinosaurs, you need to visit. Even though you can't walk in the dinosaur footprints anymore, it's still really cool. Bring hiking clothes and be prepared to play in the river.

Very nice park with large wooded sites and plenty of hiking trails. The walk along the river was beautiful and the dinosaur tracks were amazing. When we went the park was pretty empty and we were able to pick our own site.

So many beautiful trails to choose from. The water was up, so we didn't get to see all the track sites, but that is more reason to return. Blue Hole had some great swimming. If you don't mind wading through the Paluxy, check out the Ballroom site. It's by far the best track site.

Being so close the the dinosaur tracks was really cool - especially when wandering along the river and 'happening' onto more that aren't even marked! A true wonder. Hiking trails were good - a variety where some were clear and flat and others had more climbing to do. The river was lovely, clear and cool and we really want to... More

While the water in the riverbed was a little high, we were still able to see some of the tracks. It was a bunch of fun, and the hike wasn't too tough at all. Definitely wear shoes you don't mind getting wet, or be ready to walk barefoot across the river. It was a lot of fun, and I would... More

Our whole family - me, husband, kids ages 6 and 3, and grandparents had a fun visit here. We all enjoyed walking through the river to discover the dinosaur tracks. The river is rocky but fairly easy to get around, although I would definitely recommend water shoes. This was a pretty unique experience for us and I'm glad we made... More

Great hiking and camping here. Great location in Texas. The park museum is awesome. Fun facts about the dinosaur tracks and the history of our land.

Took my two teenage nieces and we really enjoyed ourselves. There were places you could swim and other places are shallow. I figure this probably depends on the amount of rain they have had though. When we went we took river tubes and floated as far as we could then walked the shallow areas. We had a blast. I think... More

Fun time with young children. Pay to have the fossil find with your child. My daughter pays with the gems still.
