This is a pretty park but not very large. The big draw are the dinosaur tracks. However, most of the tracks are covered located in the river bed which has water in it most of the year. You can wade to the sites of the tracks and see them underwater as the water is very clear. The park has one... More

You can't beat the entrance price-- it cost me $7 for my family of four. We had perfect weather, and although the sites were crowded, we enjoyed our visit. My kids were begging to stay longer and to take some additional hikes--a true sign that they were enjoying themselves--but we had not come prepared for a true hike. We will... More

The park is so much fun. The tracks were underwater but visible when we went last time, but the kids had a blast wading and splashing in the water getting to them. If you are from out of town, make sure to bring clothes/shoes that are ok wet. Spend the day there, pick up some meat to grill at Brookshires... More

Nice stop. Rangers knew their stuff and very child friendly. Tracks were covered by water. Had to cross slippery underwater rocks to get there so Grandma had to stay behind and just watch. Not handicapped accessible

I recently took my kids and mother to Dinosaur Valley State Park while in the area for my husband's business trip. We happened to have a day in late February that was over 90 degrees and decided to make the 90 minute drive from Addison to Glen Rose. Let me say that we had an absolute great time that day.... This was a blast from my past as my grandparents brought me here 30 years ago. The dinosaur tracks are still there. If you go to mountain bike, know that you have to ford the river to ride trails. Moderate trails had serious technical sections mixed with nice flow.

This is an outdoor experience, if you go on the trails during the wet season (check with the weatherman) then you will find the trails muddy, crossings may involve shallow wading .. did I mention that it is OUTDOORS? This is Hill Country, lots of trees and brush around the campsites. RV sites are back-in and intermingles with tent sites.... More

Carry shoes you can get wet. The tracks were underwater and you had to cross a creek to get to them. We were not prepared for that. The park recommends summer visits when water level lower.$7 per adult.

My daughter and I went here with my service dog and her service dog in training for hiking and training our pups. I've been here several times. It never gets old. The store has plenty of T-shirts hats and what not to purchase. Always spent a lot of money in the store. The trails are great. Some are easy, moderate,... More

I will try to list the most nicest places of the park # At the entrance there is a place where there is an exhibition about the history of the area. # Then visit the riverside of dinosaur area where they lived. # Place for children's games is very well done. # There are nice places for barbecue and toilets...
