We made the 3 hour drive today. Finally, a sunny day after days of rain. My mistake for not calling first. They were CLOSED. Soooo disappointed. We were really looking forward to this beauty. Only given poor review because WEBSITE needs to late you know dates CLOSED due to mud.

Very pleasant morning drive with pretty daffodils all around. A nice splash of color after some dismal winter weather. Trail was very driveable and around every corner more flowers. Worth a trip and then pop to nearby Gladewater for a stroll around the antique shops and a bite of lunch.

Beautiful scenic drive. A must see every Feb/Mar. Don't be a jerk and step on the flowers or park where you aren't supposed to. Control your kids/pets. Portapotty restrooms.

We visited on the first morning it was open for the season. Not quite all daffodils were in full bloom but it did not disappoint. Always call before going. The roads aren't paved and may be closed due to muddy condition.s

The trip to Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Garden was very relaxing. The cost for seeing the daffodils is reasonable (freewill offering) and a good meal at a restaurant on the way home is delightful.

I love the history of this beautiful place. 969 acres of Daffodils is hard to describe. It needs to be witnessed first hand. This has to be one of the most beautiful valleys in Texas. There is just a sea of yellow and the You come over a hill and there a sea of white. This change of color and the vastness of serene beauty is really awesome. And then there’s the log cabin in the woods up the hill from the lake with a waterfall. Just beautiful. It’s like stepping back in time. The place is manicured and maintained and local photographers take advantage of the beauty for Easter Pictures. Great for picnics and family photos. And its access is on donation basis. Great visit.

We were so disappointed after driving 3 hours we discovered they are closed for the season due to flooding. I gave a one star because they did not update there website about being closed.

This place is an experience, not just a destination! These millions of daffodils were imported in the 1930's from Holland-a box car full! after years of dividing there are millions spread through this 1000 acre ranch. BRING YOUR CAMERA!

We were greatly pleased with our experience. It was larger than expected. All the daffodils were in bloom and made for a lovely ride through the countryside. Locations were provided to stop and take photos. There was a cabin that could be toured and a little lake to stop and spend time just relaxing. This is not an entertainment area but a picturesque, quiet area to enjoy the quiet and beauty of nature.

Aproxx. 15 minutes or so from Interstate 20 West- in the hills of Gladwater, TX planted thousands of Daffodils blooming. Up on hills, by a lake, beside a log cabin all are noticeable as you drive in your car. There are no bathrooms nor places to eat. Total minutes for 45 minutes. I have more pictures to share. esp. to enjoy a relaxing day.
If rainy- call ahead- the tour maybe close.

Is it a drive thru garden? My elderly mom is basically immobile.

Yes, getting out of the vehicle isn't required to see the daffodils. I do emphasis call before you go in case it's closed due to all the rain we've had.
can you walk with your dog?

yes, great place to take them (on leash) and get some pics
Are there any spots at all that would be appropriate for a picnic?

There aren't any picnic areas set aside, but Ive seen people spread blankets, or use tailgates at many locations where there are pullouts for picture taking opportunities
