I love railroad museums and this is a great one. The history is well-documented and presented. Multiple, working, miniature railroad dioramas of different models including L, HO, and O gauge remind me of my youth. I collect postal history, including Railroad Post Office (RPO) materials....More

I saw much of the past when I visited. It was a great display of vintage engines and rail cars. I once rode a train from Dallas to Pittsburgh in the 1950's in cars like these. What a nostalgia hit.

we'd already visited Galveston and seen most of the sites, so time for the train viewing, worth every penny. the full sized trains were enjoyable seeing how our ancestors traveled in style and playing with the model trains was fun, as well.

Since my husband wanted to tour at Galveston Railroad Museum. I find that it was very boring for me but I enjoyed to pat owner’s friendly cat.

Lots of cars to look at from the outside, but not too many of them are restored on the inside. Collection of railroad china and model trains inside.
