Was there July 2017. It rained the morning of. The entire parking area and every other walkway was flooded. There is no drainage at all on the grounds ! This is a real true review. People had to be stepping into filthy, algae-filled, dirty water,...More

Took the family here for the afternoon. It was fun, the sand was nice. The gulf water was quite dirty and my kids really didn't like the seaweed hitting them in the legs while in the water. Went back to hotel pool after 2hours.

This is by far the worst beach my husband and I have ever been to. It stunk (horrible shrimp smell), there was trash everywhere, seaweed, parking was expensive. We paid $10 and we only stayed in hour. We wanted to leave as soon as we...More

I read some reviews and many different parking rates are noted. It was $15 for a car to get in. There is no re-entry option, so if you forget anything, you pay $15 to get back in. The parking lot needs serious TLC. They have...More

Born and raised in Houston. Been to Galveston many times and it's still the same. Yes there are shops and activities to do. Yes there are chair, umbrella and board rentals. But the beaches leave a lot to be desired. On this particular trip we...More

It's a beach. Lots of folks around playing, lounging and fishing. Didn't wait too long, water looked a bit brown as the waves picked up the silt. Prob better further out, you'd be struggling to do any surfing if that is your plan, as waves...More

We were staying at an RV Park a few miles west of here but didn't much like the beaches near our resort. They were crowded with lots of people drinking and no public rest rooms in sight. Checked on Trip Advisor and found Stewart Beach....More

This is a pretty beach. Great Place for family and we rode over to the shipping area and watched the cargo ships. Food Trucks everywhere so plenty to eat and things to do.

Loved the location and the peaceful area. Easy access from the car to the beach, which is great when you're unloading 3 kids and all of their stuff. We brought our own canopy which meant we could not be right along the water but we...More

The beach is a beach. They offer chair & umbrella rentals. When there is rain, most of the parking lot becomes a lake. It cost $12 to park, ridiculous price when you can park along the seawall for $1 an hour and get the same...More

3 1/2 hours is about right. One thing we learned the hard way.....There is heavy construction on I-45 south of the Sam Houston Parkway. Now and then they close all lanes on the weekends. We were caught in that a few... More
