The film was informative and interesting but it hasn't been updated in 20 years. The original footage from 1900 was good, the hand drawn graphics got a little boring after a while.

Was closed on Tuesday after Labor Day, so we came back on Wednesday to see "The Great Storm". The theater was comfortable for a half hour showing. A lot of factual information and personal interest concerning the 1900 hurricane. They validate for two hour parking...More

Very informative. The pirate movie had no sound so we were given a refund (that was done quickly with no problem) I wish we could have stayed for the movie on immigration, will definitely go back next time we are in Galveston for that one....More

We watched the film about the great storm. It was short but good and nice to see some of the area history and weather.

There is an incredible story at the heart of this island city and it's told in this short film. It's not a masterpiece of a movie but the story stands alone and you will leave in awe of this small but mighty city and what...More

This is another Galveston attraction we have passed by for years but with four full days this trip we wanted to get in everything we could. If you don't know the story of the 1900 Galveston hurricane you don't know Galveston. The photos and commentary...More

I have read Isaac's Storm and seen the PBS version of the book. This was well-done since it showed photos and was more focused on the over-all storm instead of individual stories. It was good to see before sight-seeing on the island. We also saw...More

We stopped in to see the film on the 1900 hurricane that devastated galveston. The film used a lot of old photos to tell the story. Only $6 to enter and worth it, but would not be worth more. Theater is very comfortable and close...More

One item which I thought we’d get a more historical bang for our buck was the Pier 21 Theatre, which had a film on 1900 Hurricane. Finding Pier 21 was easy (as they’re all marked with bright red flags), but find where to park was...More
