Great old ship

My family (elementary/middle school kids) enjoyed this. A great way to see history come alive! You get to walk through the bottom of the ship as well as the deck.

This tour can be as short or as long as you want. It is a floating museum of the history of the ship. Nothing else is too major with the ship. Was purchased with the museum and harbor tour.

The Tall Ship ELISSA itself was just amazing to see. The ship is very unique in that it is an iron/steel sailing ship, and during its long lifetime, it had an engine added as well (although that has all been removed now). Any visit to the Seaport Museum should absolutely include plenty of time to see this ship.

My boyfriend and I both thought this ship was beautiful. They were working on the ship when we went, but it was still a wonderful experience. It's really cool to know that they still sail it every now and then. It's definitely worth the time.

It was a good trip. They where working on it when we where there but it was still fun. We went through the museum area and the workers where nice.

We enjoyed looking around and learning. Getting to walk around and explore the ship was cool. Parking right by it is $8 though so we didn't expect that.

Our friends who live in Texas came down to meet us in Galveston after our cruise. In efforts to keep us entertained, they suggested an outing about the Tall Ship Elissa, and she did not disappoint!!!

The museum is full of maritime facts, and Elissa's story. There is a short video about how she was discovered and how she was restored. If you like ships, this is a must-see. The ship is a wonder. Topside you see the rigging. Going below is fascinating. The best of two world combine, since Elissa is a sailing ship with... More

Very neat experience to learn about Galveston's rich history. The city has done a marvelous job keeping its history intact

The Elissa was fantastic but the museum was a bit lackluster. The Elissa is a self guided tour. My husband was very impressed with the number of voyages the boat made in just the first 20 years of use.
