For shopping in Galveston there is no more better place than on The Strand, clothing shops, artsy items and the oldest candy store in the state. Check it out.

Always a pleasurable walk through the shops along the Strand the you take the wife and stay at the San Louis. Many of the shops we like to visit: the Jewel Garden, Gracie's, the Bungalow, the Admiralty, all different and all unique.

We are at Fudruckers. There are quite a few shops in the old buildings. The Haberdashery, Kings Confectionary, spices, and the artist selling tribal masks. Great times

Numerous restaurants, pubs, and a beef jerky outlet, how can you go wrong. Really cool variety of shops and eating/drinking places. An easy walk in the park...

The street is nice for a quick visit. If you need some touristy stuff this is definitely where to get it. Noticed a few decent looking restaurants but didn't eat.

Some shops were the usual junky souvenirs, but some were above average. Unfortunately quite a few of the storefronts are vacant. Interesting to see how they've adjusted to the history of flooding by making most of the shops a few steps up from street level.

I have heard that the terminal has storage across the street. I don't know positively as I haven't used it, ask on board the ship. They will know. I have also heard there is storage somewhere on the Strand, Chamber of... More

There's a nice visitor center across from the Rosenberg Library. They can tell you all you need to know.

Ditto...didn't see any golf cart tours, just the horse and carriage tour. Not sure the price on that, but it looked like there was a sign on one of the corners.
