The street is nice for a quick visit. If you need some touristy stuff this is definitely where to get it. Noticed a few decent looking restaurants but didn't eat.

So many stores and everyone is different. A great place to take a stroll and do some shopping. Hazy days was my favorite hehe.

We had about 1 hour to kill while waiting for a shuttle we decided to take a walk around the strand. It is definitely a street with lots to see with shops places to eat and enjoy some of the building architecture. They have signs...More

Some shops were the usual junky souvenirs, but some were above average. Unfortunately quite a few of the storefronts are vacant. Interesting to see how they've adjusted to the history of flooding by making most of the shops a few steps up from street level.

The Strand is an assortment of shops and eateries. You can find places to have a drink, great food, antiques, a huge candy factory, ice cream, great architecture, art galleries, souvenir shops, upscale clothing, well, just about everything. It is fun for the kids and...More

I have been to beaches all around the world and Galveston has been the most disappointing. The shops and restaurants are not great. There is no white sand and normally you will find lots of seaweed in the water and on the beach.

It was a typical tourist street, many shops and most of them sold food too; that was unusual. There are many restaurants interspersed between shops. Better things to do in Galveston.

I have heard that the terminal has storage across the street. I don't know positively as I haven't used it, ask on board the ship. They will know. I have also heard there is storage somewhere on the Strand, Chamber of... More

There's a nice visitor center across from the Rosenberg Library. They can tell you all you need to know.

Ditto...didn't see any golf cart tours, just the horse and carriage tour. Not sure the price on that, but it looked like there was a sign on one of the corners.
