My wife and I took our five year old grandson to Moody gardens on December 22, 2015. We stayed in the onsite hotel. All three of us liked the Aquarium and the Rain forest. The 'Discovery Pyramid' is a total rip-off. It has four interactive mechanical exhibits that are interesting for a few minutes. I honestly thought this little room... More

Hi Jim. Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to learn that you did not enjoy our Discovery Pyramid exhibit. We will be featuring a new exhibit in March that we hope you will enjoy more. It's called "Skeletown" and it's all about bones! Thank you for staying at the Moody Gardens hotel; we're thrilled to hear that you had... More

We had a great time at the Moody Gardens hotel with a 5-year old just before Christmas. Went to the Rainforest Pyramid (great) and the Aquarium (average). However, we also bought tickets to the "Discovery" Pyramid- that was a ripoff. One room of interactive exhibits on how cars work, which was fun for the 5-year old for about .... 20... More

Every year we choose a destination for our family Christmas outing and this year it was the festival of lights at Moody Garden. I was so disappointed and shocked. The price of adult admission is $15 a person. You walk along a path and each section is sponsored by a corporation or organization and they basically have a variety of... More

Hi there. Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed ICE LAND: Ice Sculptures. However, we're sorry to learn that you did not especially enjoy Festival of Lights. Music and animated storytelling play a large role in our Festival of Lights and also in our ice rink, so your comments regarding the music concerned us and we alerted our... More

We went to the Moody Garden for a Christmas dinner show and only enjoyed the show. Yes, the show was a good one! We enjoyed, however, dinner before the show they served was not good at all. We were glad that we went there for the show, otherwise, nothing special to see for us.

If you want to spend time with your family and friends, young and old, this is the place to be! From the aquarium, the rain forest which also has animals,3D/4D movies, and food, you have everything in one area. The Aquarium is 3rd rate and the Rainforest Pyramid isn't much better- they are fantastic places to go if you have young kids with low expectations and you don't value your money. There is a Groupon for the Festival of Lights and Discovery Pyramid, that spot isn't as wretched as it normally is as they have a Formula 1 exhibit.... More

Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to review your visit. Our Aquarium Pyramid is undergoing renovations that we guarantee will be top-notch! Being a non-profit organization, we try hard to offer what we can to help lower costs for guests, such as children 3-and-under having free admission, discount coupons at local businesses, Value Days, and two-for-one admission for... We went here last year for the ICE exhibit. It was ok. This year however, it was SO MUCH better. The displays were more interactive and the kids had a blast sitting the Krusty Krab restaurant. We skipped the light display. If you want to see really good lights check out the display at the Sam Houston Race.

My wife and I went to see the Festival of Lights at Galveston's Moody Garden for the first time.(NOTE: Let me be clear; we have been to Moody Gardens several times before, but this was our first time to the Festival of Lights).
