The AGFA was recommended by another gallery visited so we gave it a spin. Lots of fine art to view at prices which could make your eyes water and your teeth drop out but plenty of serious people there with dollar popping pockets.Well worth a visit just for the experience but put zips on your wallets & pockets if you want to resist the temptation of a purchase

Agave Gallery features artist from all across The Texas Hill Country, some new, many establish, others well known in many mediums. The exterior belies the treasure of this little gallery hidden a block off the main drag. There are more expensive and expansive art venues but this is my favorite.

Agave Gallery is small, but full of wonderful art - either to hang on your walls or to wear around your neck or wrist (often jewelers are displaying their creations), During the warmer months, Agave features live music in the courtyard in conjunction with First Friday Art Walk.

The charm of the Sunday House, the intriguing plants and the seasonal bluebonnets in front, invite you to enter this really neat art gallery, located on San Antonio St. You will be welcomed by this amazing Sculptor and owner of the Agave Gallery, John Bennett. You will quickly know why the Texas Legislature has recognized his talents!! When John is out garnering inspiration for his work, his lovely wife, Cathy, will greet you and make you feel welcome!!
John has invited other Texas artists to display their works as well! In addition to sculptures, oil paintings, water color creations, exotic silver works, hand decorated gourds and jewelry, you can also visit John in his workshop in the rear of the gallery. He was working on amazing piece when we were there!!
This is one art gallery that the whole family will enjoy!!

My wife and I both loved our experience at AGAVE GALLERY. This tiny little gallery is jam packed with great art – there are paintings by award winning Texas artists in all mediums, fine silver belt buckles, hand crafted gourds, furniture and beautiful jewelry. The artist who owns the gallery, John Bennett, is the most incredible sculpture I have ever seen. He captures women that are sensual and beautiful in a modern western setting. You absolutely MUST see his work. It is one block off Main street. Make sure you make this a stop on 1st Friday art night.

John Bennett is one of the greatest Western Artist in our present generation. His attention to detail is simply amazing. He researches every piece to the "inth" degree and this shows in his work. He and his wife, Cathy are two of the nicest and most humble people you will ever have the pleasure to meet. Not located on Mainstreet, they are easy to find and just look for the cool vintage station wagon parked out front.

We stopped to view the bronze Annie Oakley With Her Dog statue in the outside garden. That inspired us to go inside the gallery where we met the artist and thoroughly enjoyed viewing his work. We are not art enthusiasts so this was indeed a real treat. He treated us just as he would have treated a customer who would purchase a thousand dollar piece.

Stunningly creative sculpture and jewelry. The owners are delightful... so very friendly and welcoming. We love to view the latest work and enjoy visiting this gallery often. So talented!

Fredericksburg, Texas has a monthly First Friday Art Walk featuring many art galleries. Agave is a great little gallery; meet the artists, see a variety of mediums displayed. The owner is a re-nowned sculptor. Friendly, casual, refreshments on the First Friday Art Walk.
