We love it here. Members of 13 congregations over the years, this is the most vibrant of them all! The Holy Spirt is alive and well in this loving congregation. We've never experienced this level of intergenerational genuine positive regard before. While the youth overflow the chancel during the youth sermon, there are as many (or more) seniors present as well. Great variety of learning experiences for all ages. Visitors genuinely welcome!

We were visiting family and went to Easter Sunday service with them. It was an upbeat exciting service and we were glad we went!

Holy Ghost Lutheran Church is one of the most beautiful and historic structures in Fredericksburg. Stunning stained glass windows lining each side of the sanctuary stand as memorials to founding church members.

The pastors and staff at Holy Ghost are terrific! We have made so many friends there and have become involved in several activities. Although we travel 8-9 months out of the year, this is where we chose to become members. Holy Ghost Lutheran is a most welcoming place, no matter your age or station in life.

This is a beautiful old church boasting over 165 years. It has a wonderful staff of pastors and a congregation that makes every effort to welcome in visitors and new comers.

The Lutheran Church is just as pretty as the Catholic Church down the street, but it doesn't have nearly as many reviews here on TripAdvisor. Church was built by and for German immigrants in the 1890s.

Another reason to stroll down San Antonio Street in Fredericksburg. Look for the old stone jail also.

This was the first of the two churches I visited in Fredericksburg. Finished in 1893 it is an impressive structure made of field stone. While it is not particularly ornate it is still magnificent inside. The history is as impressive as the structure, as the original church served all denominations. The initial church is located in Marktplatz. On the Saturday night I visited the church I was delighted by the greeters and their banter with me. As a Catholic, I was amused at their attempt to get me to "try out" their church! This is surely worth a bit of time as you explore downtown Fredericksburg.
