Fredericksburg is just one of those places you have to visit. Every shop is different (really) not too much duplication at all. The prices are good, staff is friendly and there is an abundance of restaurants and coffee places to stop and relax.

Beautiful town. Main Street has plenty of gift shops, restaurants. Wine and beer tastings. Sidewalks get a little crowded on weekends. Reserve your motel room if staying on the weekend. Charming place. I will come back !

Little advice for out of towners, skip Austin. If you want to see what genuine Texas looks like visit Texas Hill Country.
