Grape Creek Vineyards is a wine club winery. We are designed for the enjoyment of our club members. Of course, we welcome new guests to taste and tour and decide if they want to join as well.

We also believe wine is a pleasure, and not a party. Our guests and our wine club members like this approach, and we appreciate their positive reviews! Trip Advisor users may notice most of our negative reviews are either because we cater to club members, or because we endeavor to create a wine experience not a party place. While this may impose certain limits on larger groups and winery access, we want to stress that our focus is on wine appreciation. We hope yours is too!

Absolutely love the tour Grape Creek provides, you are able to hear the processes they go through to create the wine, as well as taste merlot from 3 different barrels. Upon ending the tour, you are sent to a wine tasting room where you get to sample their various wines. I always have a great time here, whether i'm sitting... More

I used to think Oregon, Washington and California had the best wines. One thing is very clear. Texas wines are nothing to sneeze at. The Petite Shirah, Cabernet Trois and Merlot are fantastic to sip by the fire outside or pairing with dinner from pastas or steaks. I prefer to sip and relax..no food required.

The wine is not great, but the education is really good. It's a nice tour. I learned things about different types of oak and the way it affects the laste of wine. I had no idea that I really disliked the taste of wine from first use American Oak barrels. Blah. The wine is okay, but it's crazy expensive for... More

At first when we drove in we were greeted by an armed security person that had a badge and was directing us where to park. Never have we encountered an armed security person when going to a vineyard. After parking the next security person asked us if we were a wine club member and when we said no he said... More

Not sure why the change but now everyone has to buy a tasting even the DD and you can't just buy wine either. Spoke to the lady giving briefings at the gate we just wanted to purchase a case of wine for the year like always she said that would be fine, get in side nope.... everyone enters must purchase... I am not sure what happened but I apologize. That is not our usual service at all. When we get negative reviews they are usually associated with our Saturday policies. We do require a tasting to enter, although we let DD's in and usually offer them a bottle of water and thank them for coming with other guests. For the... More

Expensive tour, OK wine, the tour guides are knowledgeable but not friendly, especially Darren. Everything was going well until he was very harsh, leaving a bad experience for our family. Go to a more authentic winery like Hilmy.

To clarify, Darren did exactly what he is required to do. You had tried to provide your minor child with wine a number of times and were asked to stop more than once. Grape Creek has a policy against minors being provided wine by other guests, including their parents. While Texas law in general does allow that practice, each permitted... More

Dropped by Grape Creek on New Year's Eve and had a delightful experience. I'm a wine club member so there are a lot of special perks for club members. Separate wine tasting experience from the general public in a beautiful Tuscan inspired building is one of them so that's the only perspective I can give. Staff was very friendly and... More

Rude staff, average wines, not worth your time when there are so many other options out there. They also don't seem to understand what a designated driver is?

I am not sure what the core issue was based on your feedback. We definitely support DD's. However, public intoxication is a crime in Texas whether driving or not and we are required to discontinue service to anyone that is at risk of intoxication, even if they plan to give us a 1-star review. The wines are pretty tasty, but EVERY tour group stops here. Service is slow and somewhat grudging at times and it gets packed. It feels like they're really trying to hustle and sell wine, not give you a wine experience and sell. We've been here twice now and probably won't go back. It's just impersonal and not as friendly as... More

Well we missed the boat with you all and we are sorry. Your experience is exactly the opposite of our goal. Interestingly, almost no tours stop here on Saturdays (which it sounded like might have been the day you visited) as we limit access. In fact, we get negative reviews from those people for not letting them in! Please try... More

Tried to stop by on Thursday morning during the week between Christmas and New Year's. We're members and enjoy the winery in Georgetown so thought it would be a great opportunity to take our adult children. Well, first of all, they had a sign for member check-in outside - great, but then you get inside and there's pure bedlam. No... More
