The idea is good but for Ranger history you can't beat the Waco museum. An outdoor lecture area seems a little close to noisy highway. They have plans for future additions - wish them well.

This multi acre site has a lot going for it even though it is not yet complete. The history of The Texas Rangers is well displayed via displays, statues and retired Rangers are on hand to tell the history of the Texas Rangers and answer questions. There is lots of easy parking and it is adjacent to a historic fort park.

We stopped by the Texas Rangers Heritage Center and met with two of the volunteers. These gentlemen were full of information and my husband and I spent at least 1.5 hours talking to them. They are in the process of raising funds to build a 26,000 sq ft Heritage Center building. Currently there is an open air pavilion that can seat 500 guests and is climate controlled with restooms and a large catering kitchen. There is a magnificient statue commemorating the Texas Rangers along with a ring of honor, and the bell tower. The Texas Rangers Heritage Center is next door to Ft. Martin Scott.

This is a great tribute to Texas Rangers of the past and present. They are very friendly and informative about the history of Texas Rangers. I look forward to visiting phase two of the project that will include a museum.

The personnel were very engaging and helpful, but unless you are looking to book an event (wedding, dinners, etc) there is not too much to learn from. Looking forward to the full and interactive museum! We were fortunate to see several reactors on the grounds since they has a meeting that evening.

The gentleman who greeted us was very inviting and interesting. He told us a lot of stories about the history of the Texas Rangers and explained about the center. This was a great history lesson. They are planning to build a center and when that gets finished it will the place to go in Fredericksburg. We throughly enjoyed the activity.

This is a new museum that is still being built. There is not a lot to see, but you still should stop in to pay your respects at The Ring of Honor to fallen Texas Rangers. The four life size bronze statues are worth the stop. The site is adjacent to Fort Martin Scott so you can visit both in 1 to 2 hours.

Not completed yet, but the volunteer was very informative about the Texas Rangers, and what the facility will eventually be.
