Grand Courthouse

One of the nicest courthouses in Texas. Looks great at night and during the day. You can't help but to eventually drive by it but take the time to see it up close.

This is a beautiful and historic building at the end of Main in Fort Worth. It's a great place to see and take pictures.

the Architecture of Tarrant County Courthouse was designed in 1893 was built after a fire burned the old courthouse. A high price at that time has been a sound investment because of the fine craftsmen who were used to build it. It was built with an idea that Fort Worth would grow As well as Tarrant County. It is a... More

This magnificent 1893 structure built of pink Texas granite, drew some controversy for the amount of money spent on its construction, but it came out great. You have to personally insect its architecture and details, plus the free museum (no charge). Although the courtrooms are open to the public (and their proceedings public record), don't try to get in wearing shorts,... More

I was on a solo trip to FW and staying near the courthouse so decided to walk over during some free time. So glad I did. I enjoyed admiring the ceiling and architecture as I walked through. I also very much enjoyed the small museum which includes the history of the area and is located just near the security station.

We primarily visited here because of seeing it in the Walker Texas Ranger series but it also has a small free museum and several pictures in the hallways that show you how it was built, Doesn't take long but well worth a stop to check it out. It is very pretty inside as well as out.

Take 15-30 minutes to wander around this last century courthouse. It has a small free museum and if you ask nicely the security guard is happy to give you lots of info and perhaps even a tour

It is a huge shame there is no view - it looked like they are renovating the clock tower so maybe in the future but the interior was pretty and on each floor there were historic pictures of Fort Worth so it gave a nice historical perspective.

A working courthouse with lots of marble and a small museum. You can see the men's room door used a Walker's office door in the TV series.
