Great option, especially on a hot afternoon. Always something good in the gallery, but the building itself is an artistic wonder. My favorite spot is the cafe, with its glass walls overlooking the reflecting pool. Chef is excellent. Last trip I enjoyed a grilled Caesar with a few glasses of nicely chilled Chardonnay. Truly a relaxing spot.

Apologies to the Cowgirl Museum and the Kimbell, but MoMA Ft. Worth is my absolute favorite! They have such interesting, sometimes unexpected exhibits, and I love the architecture of the building itself. I have brought my kids there several times, and look forward to going back without the kids and enjoying lunch in the cafe.

The building works well. Flow is easy. Staff is pleasant. We stayed for dinner which was very 'OK'. Kimbell is far superior on content and food.

KAWS, was totally unknown to our group. We soon learn to appreciate and explore the curious and interesting works of Brian Donnelly "KAWS" a graffiti artist teasing the mainstream world with a spin on known objects. The whole museum is full of wonderful pieces questioning the idea of art and the use of imagination. A MUST SEE.

If you enjoy modern art, you need to visit this museum. They had a wide variety of art pieces, and the building's reflecting ponds offer tranquility. Their restaurant is quite good.

The building itself is wonderful, spacious and easy to navigate... Visited in December and saw the KAWS exhibit which was colorful and interesting.

The Modern Art Museum in the Cultural District of dowtntown Fortworth is an interesting visit. Many of the pieces on display belong to KAWS, so if you're a fan this is great. In terms of variety it is quite limited though. Entry is free on Sundays.

I loved this place. The Kimbell is nice but i really enjoyed visiting this museum. I happened to go on a free day and there was a tour starting ten minutes after I got there. Lucky me! Don was a great docent, if you're so lucky to fall on his day to do tours!

I wasn't impressed.... The primary driver was the KAWS exhibit which took up about 60% of the show area of the museum. The rest was mostly mid-century non-conformist. I hesitate to call it 'bad' because just because I don't care for something doesn't make it bad. The map was unusable.. Parking was tight but it was free. We walked through... More

Despite the long line, ticket purchasing went very quickly. However, the museum map was useless and did not provide any information on where to find different genres. The museum is dominated by a large KAWS exhibit with little else. There is a decent amount of free parking. Unlike the Amon Carter and Kimble, this museum charges $10 admission.
