Bill is a dedicated volunteer and just an incredibly nice person. We are always delighted to hear feedback from our visitors—but especially so when it is a multi-generational family enjoying time together, creating previous memories. Thank you for coming.

I took my Granddaughter here and she LOVED it. The best thing to me personally, was the Scarlett O'Hara hat on display. Yes, the infamous Green Velvet Hat. Take the time and enjoy

Incredible collection of artifacts from both sides of the war. Most of the items on display come from intimate collections identified by their original owners. Absolutely Stunning!More

Our museum is a bit different than the current trend in that we do not tell people what to think. We try to put a personal face to each artifact. It blurs the line with who is a good guy and who is a bad...More

We always appreciate when parents and children are able to share in a memory that checks off all the boxes: education, quality time, enjoyment. Thank you for visiting.

This is a great museum, especially if you want to major on the part Texans played in the war. Don't let the recent anti-civil war history focus keep you from learning. There are some really interesting displays here. My grandchildren enjoyed the game of looking...More

I am so sorry as I did not see the question until now. Allow 2 hours if you have a general interest in the war. If you are really interested in the period allow 4.
