Great museum, with FREE admission.

Exhibits changed regularly, and I always enjoy what they bring in. I would recommend to anyone who has an eye for art, or not

Two of the current exhibits are very worth seeing. Indigenous Beauty - Masterworks of American Art (Diker collection) has a wonderful variety of art - clothing, beadwork, pottery, and more conventional art. The pieces are really lovely. Laura WIlson (mother of Luke and Owen) is a brilliant photographer. She has been at work in Mexico, Texas, and other parts of... More

Mrs. Wilson is a professional in her own right in addition to being the mother of 2 celebrities. Much of this exhibition covers her work in such varied areas as American ranching/cowboys; Hutterite life in Montana; rugged areas of Mexico, New Mexico and West Texas, and small-town high school football (6-man teams). I found the detail fascinating and often spent... More

Love the Remingtons! That alone is reason enough to come here. But there is so much more with the photos and paintings and statues. Check out the O'Keeffe's and Sargent's as well as the native american artwork.

The city of Fort Worth and all visitors to the Fort Worth Cultural District and owe a debt of gratitude to two families and one far thinking organization for three tremendously important art collections. The Amon Carter Museum of American Art, as it's title expresses, collects and exhibits American art created from the early days of the settlement of America... More

If I could copy paste my review from the Kimbell I would. Amon Carter has excellent exhibits. They recently underwent some renovations. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The guided tours are almost a necessity as the wealth of knowledge one will impart is immeasurable.

If you have limited time, ask to be directed to the Remington/Russell exhibit, but hopefully you can take the opportunity to explore more of this marvelous museum. Thanks to Mr. Amon Carter for making these treasures available to the public... WITH NO FEE. We combined this stop with a visit to the George W Bush Library and Museum for an... More
