The primate area was incredible and highly educational. Adequate shade and air conditioned buildings made a hot/humid day tolerable there. Something for every age to enjoy. Lots of construction going on to make this zoo even better. Staff programs were excellent (when they happened, some...More

The Fort Worth Zoo has long been a favorite destination for my family. It has a wide variety of exhibits, a local Texas area with fun things for the children, and beautifully landscaped grounds with lots of shade for those hot Texas afternoons.

The Fort Worth Zoo is the nicest zoo I've ever visited. This is not an "animals in cages" kind of place. The animals are contained in "habitats" that are really nice. The zoo is well laid out and everything is well kept.

For a smaller zoo, this one is very nice! The grounds are beautiful! They are adding on which will only make it nicer. We got to see a baby gorilla which was one of the highlights!

We went on a Wednesday with two kids and four adults. What sucked was over half of all the little snack spots for food and drinks were closed for some reason. Couldn't get anything to eat until the very back of the zoo. The wheelchair...More

While in Fort Worth attended the Fort Worth zoo. Amazed at the park and the detail that had been put into the enclosures for the animals. It was special at how close you could get to most of the animals. The day that we attended...More

My Red Hat group want to come on June 6th. Is this a good day? There are about 12 women and most of them are over 60 yrs. old. We will need several wheelchairs for them.

Any day is a good day for a Zoo visit! The Zoo does provide electric wheelchairs for patrons. I would call ahead and double check if they will have enough for your party as it's first come first serve. Wednesday is... More

Scooters are limited and cannot be reserved. They are $30 for the whole day rental (there is no mention of this as a deposit...so must be a fee) They are located just inside the Zoo's front gate. A valid ID is... More
