This zoo is privately owned, and it show. I would go to this zoo over Dallas any time. Very cool enclosures for most of the animals, and the ones that aren't super cool are still not lacking. It's. It so big that it's an endeavor, and if you plan it right with a map or get to know your way... More

I used to live in San Diego, and okay---so the weather is darn near perfect, people came with high expectations of the zoo. There is NO comparison---the Fort Worth zoo's accommodations for the animals are far superior! The recent (and ongoing) improvements continue to make this one of the best zoos in the country. The primate exhibit, with indoor and... More

Visit the Fort Worth Zoo if you have some time in Fort Worth and you will not be disappointed. It is kept very clean and employees are very helpful. Don't miss the baby gorilla on exhibit!

Visited over the Thanksgiving holiday. The zoo is undergoing some exhibit construction, but that did not interfere with our visit. We only had a few hours due other plans and that did not afford us time to see everything. We'll have to go back. The zoo is Texas' oldest zoo and spans 64 acres with over 500 different species. Liked... More

We visit the Fort Worth zoo often. It is a great place for any occasion. The animals are well cared for and there are other great learning attractions too.

When we visited, like most off season parks they've been doing some work, so animals have moved or been moved. It's not expensive, and is definitely worth a Visit. There's lots to see and it didn't get overly busy when we went. You can take a nice stroll around and see the animals, there are little off shoots from the... More

Great cross section of animals species from all over the world. Small footprint which is great. Spend 2 hours or all day. Very natural feeling environment throughout. Only complaint is poor bathroom cleanliness and the small work vehicles spewing exhaust because they are so old. Electric golf carts would be better.
