We enjoyed our stay at Fairfield Lake State Park. They could use some better signage after you turn on State Park Road 64 (I think). Our Garmen said we had arrived at the park but the entrance was a few miles further down the road....More

great camping, wildlife, swimming, boating and alot of outdoor activates. grocery stores, gasoline, fast food, hospital, all near by.

The camping site was clean as were the restrooms. The biggest concern that I would have is that the gate attendants were not friendly at all - the rangers in the park were though.

Until recently this was a coal,fired power plant so I do not remember any homes lakeside.

Unless there is a weather related closure, the State park will be open. The park is closed however from December 27 at 5:00 pm thru 1:00 pm January 1.
