Ennis calls itself the bluebonnet capitol of Texas for good reason. A visit to the chamber of commerce allowed us to get maps and recommendations to see the flowers. While there are several driving trails, this park was the place for photos. Located next to...More

We had to travel several hours before arriving at Bluebonnet Park. One of our household needed to use the public restroom and it was worse than a third world country. Lord have mercy upon the unfortunate individual asked to clean this place.

This is a very nice park. We saw a good display of bluebonnets here, even though most other bluebonnets were past their peak. We went the week after the dates of the Bluebonnet Festival, and we missed the peak bloom--our fault.

We stopped at Bluebonnet Park on our way through Ennis to stretch our legs, and we were so pleasantly surprised! I had no idea that Ennis was such a Bluebonnet mecca in Texas! The park is easy to get in and out of, and even...More

The average rating is simply due to the time of the month when we were able to go and the fact that this area of the state had an early Spring. We think the poor bluebonnet and paintbrush showing is simply due to an earlier...More

Nice little park with a pond and sports fields. Great place for evening photos if there are nice clouds in the sky. Can get crowded on the weekends so plan accordingly. Very close to the highway.

We came for the Bluebonnet trail in April. The park is nice because it has a small kids play area (toddler), though it is a tad run down. The water feature is nice. I particularly liked the wooded walking area.

Sadly, we were about two weeks too early to be able to appreciate the spectacular display the bluebonnets make when they're all in bloom. Nevertheless, we enjoyed what we did see! We drove 8-1/2 hours to see them so it really was a let-down to...More

Despite the name, there are NOT bluebonnets at Bluebonnet Park other than in April....sometimes...depends on the weather and such. Very nice park. Two play ground areas, public restrooms, a pond for fishing, baseball fields, covered picnic tables, a covered pavilion with tables. We've had a...More
