Gorgeous Rocky Park!

Be aware it is a steep climb down to the beach and it was very crowded on a weekend! Gorgeous Park overall!

Eisenhower is a nice park close to DFW. The roads in the park and the staff is always very nice and helpful. We were in Spot 22 on Armadillo Hill and loved it. Nice area with trees. The only complaint was the fire pit was turned strange. The pad was smooth and the bugs were not bad. Some of the... More

This lake is like no other in the immediate DFW region. The swimming area with the cliffs and the caves, seems more like western Oklahoma or Arkansas. The swimming cove is beautiful the entire park has beautiful rolling hills and craggy limestone cliffs. Lots of great hiking spots with some surprising elevation changes. Denison is a good clean city to... More

I have been going to this place for years, I prefer going on Mondays or any other day of the week when it's not crowded. Last times I went, I camped out on the cliff on primitive camping area and sunset was amazing reflecting on water!!!!!! Also the swimming area is nice and there is shade too. Last fall when... More

My family and I visited this park for 3 hrs on 1/31/2016. We just hiked the Ike's Hike and Bike trail surrounding the overflow camping area. Trail was muddy at various places and made it challenging to keep our shoes dry. Bathroom did have shower stalls and they were very clean. I am not sure why trail map didn't mark... More

We stayed at this state park over Halloween while traveling through the state. Originally we were put in the Bois D'Arc Ridge Camping area which has full-hookups, but when we drove through, the particular site did not have any grass and that section was almost full. We drove to the Armadillo Hill Camping Area and although and they didn't have... More

This is a large state park with extensive boating and camping. The campgrounds are spread out and offer a wide range of site types and amenities. Some of the sites are exposed to strong wind, and some require long drives on winding forest roads which can be challenging in rain. Most of the sites are in pleasant forest settings. The... More

We fished here several days in October and caught many small and several large sunfish. Most fish were caught at the lighted fishing pier, which is much more accessible than the other smaller pier. Many camp sites, trails, and a picnic area. Also a boat ramp. No fishing license is required.
