Where else are you going to be able to experience something like this? It is a giant eyeball… in a park…. in a city…… five starsVisited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 13 October 2023
- Elise GHudson River Valley, New York1,283 contributionsGlad "eye' had a chance to see this! Our time was limited. We had not planned on taking too much time at the Giant Eyeball. When we arrived, I realized that one needed tickets and they had been sold out. All was good…I took a peek through the gaps in some bushes. I managed to get a quick photo, too! I recommend that strategy, if you were in a hurry, too!Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 9 April 2024

A family with children wanted to go onto the grass but the gates were locked. One reviewer said you need tickets. I was able to look over a gate and see the eyeball.....interesting, if nothing else it was very detailedVisited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 20 May 2024
- CodyRoswell, New Mexico99 contributionsCool art from a distanceA cool piece of art in downtown Dallas. It is locked behind a gate so you can’t get within about 50 feet of it. Worth taking a few pictures of if you happen to be nearby, but nothing more to it than that.Visited June 2024Travelled soloWritten 20 June 2024
- Celine DUnited States7 contributionsAwesome..The Giant Eyeball is a striking and surreal art installation located in downtown Dallas, Texas. Created by artist Tony Tasset, this 30-foot-tall fiberglass sculpture is an exact replica of a human eye, complete with intricate details like veins and a bright blue iris. The sculpture is both fascinating and eerie, drawing the attention of passersby with its sheer size and hyper-realistic appearance. It has become a popular spot for photos and a quirky landmark in the city. While it may not be everyone's taste, the Giant Eyeball is undeniably a unique and memorable piece of public art.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 22 August 2024

Cool, unusual observation attraction in the heart of downtown Dallas. The Giant Eye is 30 feet tall. Dont know the backstory. Due to earlier protests & some graffiti vandalism, the lawn surrounding it is chained up at the fence, so you can't get close, but you can still get cool pics. Apparently its lit up at night

Unique site that will take only a couple of minutes to see (pun intended). There is no direct access to the grassy area so the eyeball is viewed from the street. I randomly discovered it walking in the area so I asked the valet at the Joule Hotel across the street what was the story with it. As the story goes the owner of the Joule was rejected to build a parking garage for the hotel because it would be an "eyesore." The owner had money and a sense of humor so installed a huge eyeball!

One of our Uber drivers told us Dallas isn't a very touristy city and he's kinda right. There aren't enough attractions for you to want to spend a whole week here but there are some cool things. One is the giant eyeball in downtown. Yes, the eyeball is on private property that you shouldn't intrude upon but it's still easily viewable from the street. You don't need to spend a lot of time here but it's still pretty cool. We came in the daytime and at night to get different perspectives. We even saw a couple get married here right at the gate to the eyeball which was cool.

Downtown Dallas has a Giant Eye sculpture resting in its own private yard. It is difficult to get a good picture. You will have to walk around the perimeter until you find a spot where you can take a picture of the Giant eyeball. It is a 30 foot eye and makes an interesting souvenir picture. Why is it here?

Just a painted eyeball that you can’t even get close to. Definitely a letdown. I am sure the artistry is wonderful but we wouldn’t know from the several yards away through the iron gates in which you see it.

Heard a lot about the eye .. it’s a nice sculpture for sure .. unfortunately it’s on private property and surrounded by metal fence so take your photo and move on . It’s so not worth a detour .. save your precious time here in Dallas for more appealing attractions.

We stopped by the giant eyeball on a HOT afternoon. Parking can be a little rough on the weekend in Dallas. The eyeball was cool to see, but it was behind a gated area and you cannot get close to it.
