The Dallas Holocaust Museum/Center for Education and Tolerance offers a core exhibit that exposes three key events that occurred on "One Day During the Holocaust". A special travelling exhibit, video graphed eyewitness testimonies of survivors, and artifacts offer visitors a well-rounded understanding of this horrific part of world history. Visitors leave the Museum with answers to the question, how could this happen?

Due to the somber topic and graphic historical photographs in the exhibits, the Museum is not recommended for children under the age of 10.

However, parents should note that this Museum hosts more than 30,000 school children each year. The audio guided tour teaches the differences between bystander and Upstander behavior and the value of choices.

I recently visited the Dallas Holocaust Museum and enjoyed it greatly. The museum is very small, but it is set up in a way that makes the experience very worthwhile. We had a trained docent who was wonderful and gave us a very informative tour.

This was an absolutely incredible museum. It's very small, but a colleague recommended it was a must see so i stopped by. Although it is small, it is packed with information. It tells such amazing stories, from well known stories you've probably heard before to little known stories. I also loved that they made ties to the local Dallas/Texas communities.... More

I had the privilege to visit this museum with my son. We stumbled upon it on our way to the JFK Book Depository. This was a thought provoking memorial that opened up a great dialog between me and my son. I do not recommend this for very young children but it is a must see for everyone else. May we... More

Reading previous reviews, we knew to expect that the museum was small. We ourselves, were a group of 8. We called ahead and worked our trip around the school groups who had planned to be there in the morning, which made it a much better experience for us (museum staff was able to tell us when we called ahead, when... Thank you for your review. Your thoughts are appreciated. We have since changed management companies for our parking lots to one that does not boot. You're comments were strongly considered and were the impetus for our change. More

My expectations were set low considering the size of this exhibit. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I entered. It's comparatively small but packed with artifacts, information and videos. Depending on your level of interest you can blow through it in 45 minutes or spend 3 hours like we did. I was surprised to see a museum like this... More

This museum is not huge, but I was only able to spend 1 1/2 hours and could have spent more time. If I had had the time, I would have listened to ALL the audio descriptions - incredibly interesting stories. Items on exhibit are reminders of the horror that was the Holocaust. Be sure to watch the video testimonials in... More

This museum should be something of more substance as this significant time in history deserves to be captured and displayed. This small museum is unorganized and difficult to follow. There is one major panel display at the entrance of the museum which takes over 25 minutes to complete due to the the many sound bites. (Beginning of frustration here with... More

Small but excellent museum. On my visit, we were able to sit in on a presentation by an actual Holocaust survivor, a moving experience.

Wonderful collection of holocaust artifacts. We were treated to a presentation by Max Glauben, a survivor. There was also a temporary Ann Frank exhibit that was well worth seeing. It's an intimate experience that's quite good.
