The Museum of Nature & Science in Texas is wonderful museum combined the Nature and science with story telling of our planet.
The exhibits in the museum are carefully selected to reflect the museum theme. It’s good for family with kids at all ages with a learning environment for all. You can spend easy 4-5 hours without getting board if you are a history and museum lovers. The 3D show not much that interest compared to the misuse itself. Kids and adults both can learn and enjoy.
One of the must visit places in Dallas.

This is a fun place to go when it rains, my wife and I went when we were in Dallas and it was raining and we got to see some dinosaurs skeletons. The thing we really liked was the interactive pieces at the museum. We really enjoyed getting to interact and experience an earthquake, and things like that. Another thing we really like was getting different gems and getting to see what they’re made out of and getting to explore that there is an area for kids outside that involves frogs and there is area where kids can splash to the frog area. There are many movies that you can see at the museum, but you have to make sure that you get a separate ticket to go.

While this museum is geared more toward children, we really enjoyed the interactive part and participated in many of the exhibits. The dinosaur area is creative, comparing the dinosaurs with today's animals found in Texas. If you enjoy learning, this is a good place to go, even as an adult.

This museum is phenomenal. Make sure to give yourself all day to visit because even then you won’t see and experience it all. So many fun and engaging interactive exhibits. It was very very busy so be prepared for crowds thought our experience may have been skewed due to the eclipse travelers. Definitely a good place for a family to visit and the restaurant onsite was reasonably priced with a good variety of options.

Place is good. Good amount of exhibits but couple areas of improvement: elevators take a considerable time to get there, forcing you to basically go thru stairs all over the place; one or two of the exhibits could have some more interactive attractions and cafe was overwhelmed. Still, it is enjoyable. Loved the temporary T-Rex exhibit!

“Absolutely loved our visit to the Perot Museum! If you have kids, this place is a must-visit. They’ll be mesmerized by the interactive exhibits and hands-on activities. Plus, a tip: if you park near the museum, there’s walking distance access to the World Aquarium as well. Perfect for a day of exploration and fun!”

We went to the Perot Museum the day before the Eclipse and I think much of Dallas was there. The museum was very interesting and well worth a visit, and I think the museum was about filled to capacity. Huge crowd. The museum staff were very helpful and the exhibits were very well done. My only complaint was that it was crowded, but I think more than a million people had gone to Dallas to see the Eclipse so it was what it was. Awesome Texas history and memorabilia assembly. We bought the Dallas City Pass and this was one of the attractions included. The City Pass was well worth the value. If you are in Dallas, see this museum.

I’ve visited many science museums over the years but I found this to be one of the best , especially the astrology and minerals. The collection of crystals was amazing and presented in an engaging and informative way. A good mix of experiences for both adult and child.

Went with kids on a Saturday afternoon. It was not too crowded and kids enjoyed a lot. There was special exhibition regarding TRex and wow, it was super fun. Museum has a robotics area too. Would recommend it for kids to learn about nature. We spent around 3 hours as we skipped few. One thing I noticed was there are many digital scree related games, activities and kids were only interested in those activities. My goal was to keep kids away from screens for few hours but it was a bit challenging for me. I understand that might be the best way museum want to attract more families, kids and keep them engaged. Just a lesson learned for me for future visits.

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas is a captivating destination for curious minds of all ages. With its striking modern architecture, the museum is as impressive outside as it is inside. The exhibits cover a wide range of topics, from dinosaurs and space exploration to geology and human biology. Interactive displays make learning fun and engaging, especially for kids, while adults can appreciate the depth of information and hands-on experiences. The museum’s 3D films and special exhibits keep things fresh and exciting. It’s the perfect spot for a family day out or anyone with a passion for science and discovery.

Is it realistic/safe to walk to the Perot Museum from the Dallas Downtown Market Center?
Written 17 January 2024
Safe: yes. Realistic: yes. Pleasant? No. It’s in between roads and parking lots. Klyde Warren park which is close by is nice for a walk - going to Perot I would go by car (parking lot close by) or cab/uber.

Has anyone been here since it’s reopened with covid regulations? Also wondering how many hours you would plan? We have limited availability on our trip and them only being open weekends makes it difficult.

Hola, el estacionamiento, parking del Perot Museum es pago? Cuanto? Gracias!!!

Perot does have paid parking, but for a lower rate, park on the other side of the freeway under the bridge. You have to walk a short distance but the parking rate is much better.

Is it possible to walk from the Perot Science Center to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealy Plaza or would we need to take a bus? I have never been to Dallas so I am unfamiliar with the downtown area.

Hi, there. I am planning a visit with my husband and 2 children (5 & 9). What are your thoughts on the traveling dinosaur exhibit? Is it worth the additional $10?
Thank you in advance for your help.

If they love dinosaurs then I would definitely do it. If they are not that into dinosaurs then don't. There is a lot to do and see there whether you see the dinosaurs or not.
