The Bishop Arts district is a great place to spend the evening, visit the shops, and have a nice meal. I would be remiss without mentioning the excellent Greek restaurant, amazing BBQ, fantastic hat shop, and decedent chocolate shop you can find in the area.

This is billed as an Arts District so I allotted several hours. But it’s really an arts block with just a handful of shops. They generally open at 11am but that’s an approximate time not to be relied on. More action on the weekends than...More

My husband and I walked around here today and had a wonderful time! All the shop owners and restauranteurs are super friendly and have awesome things to purchase. Items are unique and different and we really enjoyed our time here.

I'm sure you're kind of getting the idea, but the whole point of the district is that they're small, independent operators and there's quite a bit of variation. Information was easy to come by, and I'm not especially tech... More

Previous answers are excellent, Downtown is closest, but not walking, if they would finish trolley would add charm and option. Belmont Hotel in Oak Cliff, is an option but I think is really Pricy. Enjoy
