About
The adventure at The Dallas World Aquarium begins at the top of the rainforest exhibit, where exotic birds, such as Cocks-of-the-rock and many species of toucans, can be seen. Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit. Sharks, rays and sawfish are only a few of the fish living in the Mundo Maya cenote. Safe from Neotropical eagles, are euphonias, tanagers and hummingbirds. Reptiles and amphibians, both of significance to the Maya culture, can be seen throughout the exhibit.

Although there were some great things to see, they oversold tickets and it was so jammed I thought I would almost have a panic attack! It was hot and no choice of direction but with the current of people. It ruined the whole experience.

Went expecting an awesome aquarium. What we got was an aviary and zoo with a few fish.

For the price of admission i felt like i had been cheated.

None of the displays have any information, you have to scan a QR code if you want to know anything about it which seems lazy on their part.

For a much better experience i recommend the ft worth zoo. Admission is half the price and 10x more including fish.

Don’t go and expect an aquarium. This is a zoo in a downtown building. Poor layout with no directional signs. Hard to maneuver a wheelchair. The paths were very bumpy. Expensive tickets for a zoo. With the name of Dallas Aquarium we expected more sea life.

Was looking forward to seeing some aquatic animals, but the space was crowded not just for the visitors, but Also for the animals. Enclosures are small. There are many birds on display here, but they have little room to room. Same for the rest of the creatures. Worse, there are very few written descriptions of the animals. Most zoos and aquariums have placards with the names of the animals, but this place did not have it for At least 40% of the animals.

Confusing layout. Kept getting lost. Needs to be one direction with more instructions visible on floor or post on where to go. The Cafe on the 3rd floor was not manned well. When we asked for drinks at the bar area, we were rudely told no, to go way across the building to get a drink. Not cool at all. We had a fussy 3 week old little one that needed fed. All we wanted was a place to set to tend to her and a few cold drinks. To top it off, finding the exit so we could leave was almost impossible & no one was helping. We finally made it to the entrance & exited that way to only be harassed by a worker for going the wrong way; he never offered to help or show us the right direction even was a screaming 3 week old. He simply was snotty about us going the wrong way. When I finally cut in front of the crowd coming in so we could leave, he really got annoyed. LIKE SERIOUSLY DUDE... give a military family with a 3 week old baby girl who is not doing well a freaking break. Get off your sorry ass & help instead of being rude & disrespectful. This place will never see us again even when our granddaughter is old enough to enjoy it.
I highly recommend finding another aquarium to visit.

This is far more than an Aquarium, it's almost like a tropical zoo as well. Tons of various animals to see, both aquatic and aviary. It's well worth the price of admission to see this three-floor exhibit. It's completely handicap accessible. Start on the third floor (via stairs or elevator) and work your way down the curved ramp to the end. It's a lot of walking, but easy as it's all downhill. There are "rest areas" on levels 3 and 2 so you can hit the restrooms or just relax. They are also nice spots to decompress if you or your littles are on visual overload. There are three small eateries where you can get a quick drink (some alcohol is even available) or an easy sandwich. This is very family friendly. The only "downer" I had was the descriptions of the exhibits are all done by QR code.

This aquarium was a great experience and well worth a visit for anyone who likes animals. It has plenty to see from fish, reptiles/amphibians, mammals and birds. They were doing some construction when we visited in the end of March but it was straight forward enough to find. There were some animals that were similar to the zoo and looks like they do some animal rehab here too so a good conservation site.

This "aquarium" (really more of a zoo) Is Pricey but is an excellent collection of animals. All the animals have Pairs so they don't get lonely and space to move. Superb.

Tickets are pricey, but the exhibit is unlike many other aquariums and has a lot more to offer than just aquatic animals. It can get crowded and difficult to move around once it gets busy so get there early when it opens at 10 AM.
