You need all day at this museum to take in all it has to offer. We went trice-once on a Sunday to view the current Mexico show and during the week to see the rest of the museum. The Mexico show is wonderful and well attended so plan ahead. It is free on Sundays but very busy. This museum of... More

My daughter, 18 year old granddaughter and I enjoyed a Sunday afternoon at the DMA. We saw their excellent Mexico exhibit. The museum was a fun, happening place for all of us. Lots of music, excellent crowd control so that the exhibition rooms were not overcrowded. Very helpful staff and volunteers.

Went to the DMA to see the current Mexican exhibit. It was superb. It had Frida Khalid as well as Diego Rivera, but many more Mexican artists. It had various styles from cubism to surrealism. Extensive and interesting. Sculptures and paintings!

Just love it, it is a lovely place to relax and enjoy great artists work. I especially liked the new collection they are showing on Mexican painters.

Visited on our way to airport. Spent a few hours here. Saw some great stuff. Laid out well. Easy to see artist info. We opted to not pay for special exhibits and still had plenty to see. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area again.

Beautiful building, designed so creatively that if you walk through all the galleries you don't even realize you are on level 4! There was a Mexican art exhibit going on when I attented, but I didn't want to pay the extra fee. Otherwise to avoid the crowds Thursday is a great day to visit when the museum is open until... A visit is the only way to experience the museum. In the heart of the art district, one feels all the vibration and musicality of the exhibition.

Spotless museum whose many exhibitions seemed to us to be difficult to locate and follow. There's something for everyone; we were unimpressed with the so-called sculpture garden.

This place is like a huge art fortress, vast and full of surprises. Give yourself plenty of time to explore its riches, and pace yourself: there is a lot to see here. In addition to the many grand galleries and the outside sculpture gardens, there is also a substantial space devoted to re-creating some of the rooms from the home... More

Although somewhat limited the exhibitions adequately represented the corresponding genre. We loved it
