Getting to New Republic is no easy chore. It's located on the edge of College Station with farmyards nearby. The setting is rustic - you order your beer inside a tin barn and bring it outside to enjoy on one of the many picnic tables (or enjoy inside at the upstairs seating area). There were seven different beers on tap... More

This a a good place to stop at if you like drinking fresh craft brew and don't care about the accommodations. The beers are really stellar. They have a stage in the rear, the acts I was subjected to were pretty bad. I would have preferred silence or a radio station. They need to clean up the outside and add... More

This was a surprise! Great beer in a barn, upstairs seating next to the hops. Band and a cheesesteak truck outside. Just a nice, down home atmosphere. And the beer. Did I mention the beer? AWESOME beer. I had the Kadigan and my husband had the Skylight. We both also love Dammit Jim! The people were friendly and knowledgeable. This... More

If you are looking for some good local beer - you've found the place! If you are looking for a comfortable place to drink that beer?...this may not be it. However, you have to take the location into consideration. When I visited it was VERY HOT, so this might not be a great thing to do if it is August... More

So I'm in college station for training and I find New Republic being served at a happy hour for our class. I begin to chat with Aaron Deering the marketing & social media guy for the brewery. We actually go to dinner and continue to talk as the brewery isn't open while we are here for the training. Aaron agrees... More

I have had their beers off the shelf in grocery stores several times. Finally, I made it to the brewery and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is superb, the local beer selection to die for. A must have in College Station.

Good brews of beer. Very reasonable prices. Food trucks provide the menu. It's a simple atmosphere. Make for a great Saturday evening

I enjoyed our trip to New Republic, but, the staff could be more attentive and the band we saw was unimpressive. The beer selection is small but good. I'd like to see them be a bit more professional.

New Republic Brewery opened for business in 2011. Operated by a pair of home-brewers whose hobby got to big for their homes they decided to go into business as a nanobrewery (they believed themselves too small to be considered a microbrewery) in order to continue growing their hobby. Avid do-it-yourselfers much of the equipment in the brewery was built or... More

If you want to see good old American entrepreneurship at work (and have some great beer) you should take a short trip out of the posh-ness of College Station and down the country road to New Republic Brewing and visit with Dean, one of the founders and brew-engineers. Its the real deal without any tourist trappings or stupid prices. These... More
