The website says it open on Sunday at 630 am. Family and arrived at 730 and the gates are closed at both entrances, really upsetting after an hour and a half drive to get here.

The park provides some nice views of the lake if you are willing to walk along the trails. You can also stroll along the waters edge. There is some trash on the trails and along the waters edge left by knuckle heads. If you have...More

Nice view of the dam and lake. Park benches set up and trails down to the water and easy walking on the dam. So peaceful and relaxing to watch the sun set over the lake!

Phenomenal views that we weren’t expecting driving up. Trails, facilities and history on the 2002 flood. A nice time to visit during more of the off season

I was there on a Saturday, and if you get there early enough (10 or 11am) you'll have the place all to yourself. After lunch time it started getting pretty packed, but thankfully we already had our hammock spots set up and everyone else was...More

Fun to walk across the dam and catch a rock squirrel on your path! The lake views are sensational! We loved the views!

We walked across the dam and the view is beautiful. Very pretty lake. It is nearly a mile across the dam. Great place to get a walk in.

Yes there are. The Corps of Engineers has several parks with campgrounds around the lake. There are also commercial cabins around the lake.
