I admit I'm prejudiced because I was involved with the founding and construction of the memorial. I believe it is one of the most impressive memorials I've ever seen. There is always someone visiting the site, taking family photos, enjoying the displays.

Great place to view for veterans and those who express appreciation for the military. Also make sure you pop in to the store which is ran by volunteers.

Obviously shows a lot of community pride and hard work to raise the funds needed for this memorial. Be sure to visit the museum/gift shop. Kids will love to climb on the Coast Guard boat.

Great place for picture taking. It is profound. For a community of about 4k; the community really is patriotic and must spend quiet a bit of money to maintain this sight. Great for the family.
