This church is on top of a hill. Expect to get some exercise if you are planning to walk. Great view of Mayon volcano.

I fell in love with the rustic ambience of the church. It also gives the perfect scenery of the Mayon Volcano which makes it a must visit church.

The church is located on top of a hill so going there on foot will be a little challenging to those who are not used to elevated walks. There are tricycles though that can bring you there if you have no car. The church was made in honor of Our Lady of the Gate. We were fortunate enough to be... More

The church has a commanding view of Mt. Mayon and has withstood all its eruptions since it was built as a replacement of the Cagsawa church. I wish they can hang more art pieces and religious articles that will showcase its rich history.

Our lady of the Gate parish or more popularly known as Daraga Church is a 3 in 1 landmark. 1. Historical site 2. A place of worship 3. A vantage point with the full wide view of Mt. Mayon It is accessible by both private and public transport.

The church here has a lot of history tied to it, and I would really be sure to visit this as well as Cagsawa Ruins to get a whole picture of the Mayon event. It is covered in ornate carvings, and contains a history of its restoration and a map that labels all the statues/carvings. It is a popular destination... More

We took a jeepney ride from Ayala Mall Legazpi. Take the jeepney that has the sign Daraga and it will take you there. Cost for 2 people is 18 pesos. The trip took 20 minutes. It is an old church built in the 1700s. It is located on a hill and has a beautiful view of Mayon Volcano. You can... More

An old Catholic church with Mayon Volcano Backdrop. Even if you are not catholic I would highly recommend going here. It's one of the best places (Top 2) to take photo of the Majestic Volcano other than Lignon Hill (Top 3) and Cagasa ruins (Top 1). The ranking is just my own preference.

Similar to many Spanish-inspired churches, it is beautiful but nothing is new. Still worth checking out for a quick stop.
