It was great being a religous person, having visited the church and the view of the Mayon Volcano. Vehicle parking space are adequate and a peaceful place especially in the morning during weekdays.

During our day out, doing the tourist routine, we stopped by Daraga church. The church appeared run down and not well maintained on the outside. We spent most of our time focused on the Volcano. I wouldn't have been disappointed if I missed this attraction.

From the church you get an excellent view of Mayon volcano. The church itself is Mexican style and dates to the Spanish time. The church actually replaced the Cagsawa church buried in the eruption of Mayon. The parish priest is also friendly and accommodating. Plenty of Sunday masses. Starting 5:30 pm, Saturday. Sunday: 5 am, 6:30 am, 8 am, 9:30... More

This church's location is very significant because the old church was located in a lower place that was almost covered by lava from one of the big eruptions of Mayon Volcano. This centuries-old church serves as a symbol of the Catholic faith in the area, where thousands of churchgoers attend Mass, and tourists enjoying the architecture and the unobstructed view... More

It was really nice to see the full view with the volcano on the background aside from visiting the place. I really like the place an no wonder it was one of the most visited church in albay. Try to visit the place once your in albay and I'm sure you will like it as well.

The church itself is a sight to behold-with intricate art similar to the church in Miag-ao. There are a lot of places in Albay where you can get a great view of Mayon but the view from thr church is one of the best. You can ride a jeepney from Legazpi city to Daraga church for P7 per pax. Just... More

Don't miss the opportunity to visit this quaint church with an amazing view of the Mayon Volcano. Feel the cool breeze as it caress your face. They say you are favored if you are able to see the tip of Mayon on a sunny day. Good luck!!

We were take here by our guide primarily as for yet another view of Mount Mayon, but we did end up spending more time in the church. The town of Daraga may have been populated by survivors of the 1814 Mayon eruption but the church was built 40 years before in the 1770s by the Franciscan order. It had apparently... More
