Will I remember great vistas at my COTE stay-yes. Will I remember an efficient, organized, detail oriented, top quality service culture- not even close. I have no idea why Caliber has the front desk stretched so thin on a holiday weekend or the restaurant service is very friendly but seems to have beginner skills with regard to standard ordering and... Very nice and limited space for camping. Tent sites are very large and private with no electricity. The RV sites are rather close but can accommodate large rigs. The cabins are high above Lake Buchanan with wonderful sunset views. Very quant and quiet park.

We stayed at Canyon of the Eagles and hiked all of the trails that were open during the month of August. If you go online, you can see where some of the trails (actually about 50% of them) are closed March - August due to mating season for certain birds. However, we went out for a couple of hours two... The chicken fried boar with jalapeño cream gravy is just one of the most awesome tastes you could imagine.

Our trip to this Resort and Natural Preserve was well worth the drive. The grounds were beautiful with trails covered with wild flowers with Lake Buchanan peaking out from time to time. The facility was outstanding; the beds comfortable (even the pillow) and the view from our room overlooking the lake spectacular. The food was outstanding too on a Wednesday... More

This is not just a "nature park," it's a beautiful full-service resort, a place to stay and unwind, a place to enjoy wonderful food and drink, a place to hear nature lectures, watch the clear skies from the observatory, and bask in the serene outdoors. Whether you go for a weekend or several weeks, you'll enjoy the excellent service in... More

Plenty of well maintained hiking trails, birds and nature. The property is home to two endangered bird species who nest there, the golden-cheeked warbler and the black-capped vireo. Some trails are off limits starting in March to protect the birds.

The people were very friendly and the cruise is relaxing and slow. They offer free water , tea and coffee. Our cruise was lucky we saw 3 eagles which is rare and the boat was not crowded as well as a perfect weather day. Texas has also been lucky to have received rain so the lake level was great. When... We spent Valentine's Day Weekend at Canyon of the Eagles. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back. However, it is important to understand what you are getting or you could be disappointed. This is a place to go and relax....to enjoy the beautiful nature, take a hike, some photos, eat a good meal, go on the Vanishing Texas... More

Stayed here for only one night but were able to relax and unwind and enjoy nature. The rooms are designed to be rustic--reminded me of the cabins at summer camp--but were extremely well maintained and extremely clean. Bed was comfortable. Our dinner seating was in the last group so by the time we got down the road to the park's... More
