Took a trip on the Canyon of the Eagles boat tour. Nice trip up the lake/river. Saw waterfalls, many types of birds, some animals on the shoreline. Some nice hill sides to see too.

We was staying at the Thunderbird Resort. I had brought my kayak and had time for a quick paddle. Within 30 minutes I had reach some pretty walls that had yellow blooming cactus on them. I would have liked to have more time to reach...More

Take the Boat Tour before they stop doing it. You might spot a bald eagle or 2. Lots to see and the value is good.

It's a very large lake formed from the building of a dam decades ago. It's beautiful but can become very frightening on windy days! Boating is recommended and the ducks on the lake look so peaceful.

The lake has gorgeous views, the water is so clean and it's so big, you get your very own private beach. The temperature of the water in August is perfect.
