We hadn't been to Boerne in years, but on a Friday night arrival, we drove through town after checking into our hotel. We turned down the road by the river and found cars parked all along the river as people walked, families had picnics, and some fished on this well-designed river-side park. The landscape designer should be complimented for the... More

The 1.8 mile round trip walk from either end is very nice. Historic markers along the trail. are very interesting,

Some friends of mine from San Antonio called me en route to Boerne and I met them here. They had never been to Boerne, so I had suggested that they might enjoy a stroll along Cibolo Creek at this park. They really loved the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of the park (in spite of the geese and ducks that beg for... More

I found it strange that the park was called River Road when it was clearly along Cibolo Creek. However, it is a nice re-vitalization of the area. It has a statue of the ducks, winding sidewalks, benches, public restrooms, and nice views of the creek. The ducks come to greet you, expecting to be fed. But, they are not aggressive.... More

I don't know why it's called River Road. It's along Cibolo Creek. People come down here to feed the ducks and geese and, of course, their kids. Watching them is fun. The paved trail runs all the way to Ye Kendall Inn on E. Blanco. You can get a two-mile walk out of it if you round trip it. Not... More

We were taking a scenic drive on TX46 through the Hill Country and this looked like a good rest stop. Parking was easy and free; there was on-street parking along TX46 (River Rd.) and also a public lot about 250' north of the park on Plant Avenue. We were there on the morning of Christmas Eve about 8:30, and it... More

We were trying to waste some time waiting on others that were shopping and found the 1 mile trail along the river. It's a great place to take a walk and enjoy the river and scenery.

Grab a picnic lunch and go sit by the creek. Lots of fun, a beautiful setting and friendly ducks. We got a bar-b-que sandwich from the Riverside Market and had a great lunch. Make a memory, and enjoy these glorious days we have in the "winter" in South Texas.
