My husband and I went kayaking on the Medina for our anniversary. It was so easy to get the kayaks in/out at the local park. No charges and we parked there all day while out on the water. The scenery was breathtaking, it was very peaceful, and in many parts, felt like we were the only people on earth. Definitely... More

For a small town this park is excellent. The River is crystal clear and the deer come from everywhere near hightfall.

Perfectly clear water at a lovely temperature, so great for a swim on a hot day. On a tube it is perfect to go down the river.

Medina River was great to float on! It was super clear and the perfect temperature. We picked up a few tubes at the Ace Hardware and pumped them up, hopped in. The current was too strong so we could just paddle back to where we put in.

We didn't get in the water but stopped for photos. The emerald water and tree lined bank was absolutely gorgeous. However, a storm rolled in over night and dumped inches of rain. The next day the water looked like chocolate milk!

What a beautiful river. On a hot day, nothing beats a swim or float in the Medina. There's a riverside park within walking distance of downtown.

They are in serious need of new equipment! At $20. bucks a person you'd think they could ...they had mix matched tire tubes, none with a good bottom were available so we had no ice chest tube. They found us a so called bottom tube with homemade bungee cords haha We just threw our hands up & said "screw it,... More

One of my favorite things my hubby and I did on our away-time in Bandera.....chilling out....sitting in lawn chairs...IN the water! Ahhh, the Medina River, between Bandera and Medina, beside a county low-water crossing. Watched 3 kayaks put in.....one went silently upstream to fish for bass, the other 2 quietly paddled downstream. Later in the day, families with teens came... More
